About Me

Spencer Scher discovered he had an eye for photography at a young age.  His artistic passion, his easy-going personality and his ability to capture emotion of any moment can be seen in his pictures.  Born in Phoenix, Arizona he first used his camera to document his travels and outdoor adventures.   Spencer’s love for photography began to be recognized when he won 1st place in the SBA Jack Peterson Photography contest in 2013, a statewide student photography competition.

Spencer enjoys photographing people, animals, nature and cityscapes. As Spencer entered high school and honed his photography skills, he was continually supported and encouraged by his family and friends who hired him to take their portraits, photograph events and parties, as well as Mitzvah’s.  Spencer appreciates experimenting with different techniques, perspectives and even equipment which can be seen in his pictures.  He has demonstrated it doesn’t always take expensive equipment to capture interesting scenes and portraits.  Technology and creativity has allowed Spencer to show off his talents by capturing moments of his travels rich in history, cultures and people with as little as an iPhone, but of course he enjoys using his Canon DSLR too.

As a high school student at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Spencer participates in his school’s chapter of the business club, DECA, of which Spencer is an officer.  He has also started the Chaparral Firebird Photography Club of which is the president.   His other interests include graphic design, basketball, tennis and travel.
